The module program developed by the Faculty of International Relations and Politics meets the highest international standards in teaching and research. The educational program is academic type.

The purpose of the program is to show the role and place of Russia in the changing geopolitical conditions.

A comprehensive study of the processes of formation of the foreign policy priorities of the Russian Federation, integration processes in the Eurasian space, the changing situation in the Arctic, etc. will allow students to gain valuable theoretical and practical skills.

A student will carry out activities in the following areas:

— Education and science (in the fields of vocational training, secondary vocational and higher education, additional education; scientific researches);

— Communication, information and communication technologies (in the fields of organizational and communication activities to ensure diplomatic, foreign economic and other contacts with foreign countries and regions; intercultural communication).

The objects of professional activity of graduates are:

  • Government departments, federal and regional authorities and administrations;
  • International organizations;
  • Analytical departments of business community structures and government corporations;
  • Commercial, non-profit and public organizations of an international profile engaged in consulting, information, expert-analytical, research activities with Russian Federation;
  • Scientific departmental and non — governmental analytical organizations and structures with international issues;

A graduate is ready to perform the following professional functions based on a foresight session:

а) in the field of expert and analytical activities:

— be able to develop strategies for analytical research, long- and medium-term plans for international activities;

— be able to find and summarize factual material, making informed conclusions;

— draft agreements, contracts, event programs, as well as diplomatic documents;

— to carry out analysis, planning and forecasting in the field of international activities, justification and analysis of the implementation of adopted programs;

— to carry out the examination of international projects, international events, agreements;

— possess the skills to present expert opinions on international political issues orally and in writing.

b) in the field of scientific researches:

— to be guided by modern international processes and trends in global political development, to understand their prospects and possible consequences for the Russian Federation;

— to understand the logic of global processes and the development of the global political system of international relations, to possess knowledge about the main trends in the development of key integration processes of our time;

— to be able to track the dynamics of the main characteristics of the international security environment in the context of the national interests of the Russian Federation;

— to possess basic skills of applied analysis of international situations;

— to understand the possibilities of trans-regional cooperation and other international relations of the regions, taking into account their political and legal specifics in the conditions of Russia and foreign countries.

A student prepares to participate in the following types of professional activities:

  • expert and analytical activities;
  • research activities.

Digital skills the graduate will possess:

— knowledges of application programs, digital equipment and digital information;

— possession of the statistical apparatus necessary for professional activity, namely a computer program for statistical data processing SPSS Statistics;

— ability to use digital resources, make their competent choice, creation and modification, as well as exchange them in accordance with the set goals.
