Winter semester (WS):
Beginning of WS: 1 September*
Exam Period: approximately 08-27 January (there may be some differences depending on the course/program).
Holiday: end of January – mid of February.
*Officially, WS starts on 1 September, but usually there are no classes on this day. A festive ceremony of the beginning of the new academic year traditionally takes place at Peter and Paul Fortress. NWIM RANEPA is the only educational institution in St. Petersburg eligible for holding this ceremony in the Fortress, historical heart of the city.
Spring Semester (SS):
Beginning of SS: mid of February.
Exam Period: 01-30 June (there may be some differences depending on the course and program).
Holiday: end of June – 31 August.
