On 23 and 24 May, the VIII International Arctic Summit “The Arctic: Prospects, Innovation and Regional Development” was hosted by the St. Petersburg University of State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia.
The representatives of federal and regional state agencies, leading Russian and international energy corporations, transport, financial, research organizations and service providers came together to discuss current issues of the Arctic sustainable development and exploration.

Sergey Krenz, Director, Centre for Arctic Research and Projects at RANEPA St. Petersburg and Anna Deryabina, project director joined the event organized by the Arctic Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly together with the Arctic Academy of Sciences, the Energy and Civil Society Association and the Institute of Arctic Oil and Gas Technologies of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University).
