On the 13th December, the international students — participants of the academic mobility program at the Faculty of Economics and Finance visited the Mariinsky Palace.
19 students from China, Indonesia and Thailand who have been studying at the one-semester program “Innovation Management in Digital Economy” enjoyed the guided trip with Dr. Larisa Karanatova, Dean of the Faculty.
The Mariinsky Palace is known for its rich history: initially built for Maria, Nikolai I Emperor’s daughter and later become the residence of the Council of the State, nowadays it is home to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg – the City Parliament.
Our international students were fascinated by the architecture and interior decorations, a cozy chapel inside as well as the main hall for the Parliament meetings and the exhibition devoted to the honorable citizens of St. Petersburg. The collection of memorable gifts brought by international delegations and the State awards aroused a lively interest.
RANEPA St. Petersburg has been regularly contributing to a cultural and social immersion of its international students by initiating various events and trips in the city and across its suburbs.
