On April 24-25th, XVII International Scientific and Practical Conference “State and Business. Current risks, challenges, trends in regional economic development and economic interaction with Asian countries” was held at RANEPA St. Petersburg.

The event was organized by the Departments of Management and Business Informatics, the Faculty of Economics and Finance at RANEPA St. Petersburg, and the Institute for Regional Economic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IRES RAS) in a long-term partnership.

Scientists and experts from Russia, Indonesia, China, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, came together to discuss research and development outputs in the field of economics and management, as well as share experience in addressing the issues of the regional economic development and sustainable growth.

Particular attention was paid to the development of IT- technologies, namely, methods and algorithms of artificial intelligence and geoinformation technologies.

For the first time, this year, postgraduate and master’s students had an opportunity to give presentations which allowed them to gain valuable experience in testing their research outputs.
