On December 26, the Faculty of Law at RANEPA St. Petersburg hosted the International scientific and practical conference «Formation of international procedural law: challenges and prospects».

The event brought together the leading experts following the best traditions of the famous St. Petersburg school of thought in international law.
The conference was opened by Professor Dr. Igor Marusin, St. Petersburg State University, who presented the report «The Legal Force of Advisory Opinions of the International Court of Justice», established the underlying high-level attitude for the subsequent discussion.
The presentations made by Professor Dr. Igor Bakhin, State Academic University for the Humanities (GAUGN), and Professor Dr. Vladimir Kanashevsky, Kutafin Moscow State University (MSAL), addressed the most crucial issues concerning the term jurisdiction and resolving commercial disputes with foreign individuals and entities amid new current conditions.
The event underscored the role of the Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg as an important platform for a professional dialogue created for developing relevant scientific approaches and maintaining the best academic traditions.
