On 22-23 May, RANEPA St. Petersburg Chair of Foreign Languages ran the Russian as a Foreign Language Olympiad for its international students enrolled in degree programs as well as Russian language foundation courses.

More than 70 students from 18 countries — Afghanistan, Vietnam, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, India, Jordan, China, Cuba, Myanmar, Mali, Palestine, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Chad, and Ethiopia — joined the intellectual competition with an educational focus.

Nine winners were awarded certificates and branded gifts. The participants shared that they learned a lot about Russia thanks to the tasks featuring interesting facts about Russian culture, poetry and St. Petersburg landmarks, and thanked the organizers for an excellent opportunity to test and deepen their knowledge.
