As part of the 10th International Nevsky Forum, the Faculty of International Relations and Politics at RANEPA St. Petersburg hosted an All-Russian scientific conference with international participation «Sovereign Development in a Multipolar World: Unity in Diversity as the Foundation of Russian Statehood«.

The conference brought together over 150 researchers from 19 Russian regions, as well as scholars from Belarus, India, China, Serbia, Iran, Tajikistan, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Forty-two young Russian researchers presented their work at the student conference «Cultural Codes and Identity in Russia: Between the Diversity of Peoples and the Search for Shared Values».

The event was moderated by Dr. Natalia Muyzinik, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Politics, and Prof. Dr. Nikolay Baranov, Chair of International Relations, RANEPA St. Petersburg.

Participants addressed the issues of the transformation of Eurasian integration, Russia-China relations, the development of cooperation between Russia and Global South nations, and the shaping of a new architecture of international relations. Particular attention was paid to digital sovereignty, identity politics, state policy on preserving spiritual and moral values, addressing demographic and other social issues, and language policy within the context of Russia’s sovereign development.

The Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg has once again reaffirmed its status as a leading forum for discussing the most pressing issues in international relations and Russia’s domestic policy.
