On 25 September – 1 October 2023, representatives of Committees for External Relations, Industry, Innovation and Trade, Tourism, St. Petersburg Export Support Center, business community and leading universities of St. Petersburg visited Mumbai and New-Delhi to discuss the promising areas of cooperation between Russian and Indian cities.
In the framework of the Mission RANEPA St. Petersburg participated in the exhibition “Russian Education – 2023” hosted by Rossotrudnichestvo – Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New-Delhi. It was a great opportunity to promote educational programs, explore the Indian educational market and build new partnerships.

India – is one of the international cooperation priorities for Russia.
“We see the interest in Russian language courses. In Mumbai, the sister city of St. Petersburg, Russian language courses are offered at both school and universities. Russian language knowledge is also in demand in the business community as Indian companies work closely with Russian shipbuilding, oil and gas sector and cooperate in other industries.
Our Indian partners are actively engaged in the digital transformation of public administration. We have accumulated the valuable experience in modern technologies in this area and are ready to share this with Indian colleagues. We suppose, RANEPA St. Petersburg Bachelor programs in Management and Business Informatics as well as tailored advanced training programs would also attract Indian colleagues.”
Andrey Khlutkov, Director of RANEPA St. Petersburg
Along with political and economic cooperation, joint efforts in the education area will undoubtedly contribute to the further harmonization of Russian-Indian relations, strengthening human ties and understanding between our nations as well as the mutual enrichment of our countries’ potential.
