On 04-05 April, scientists and experts from Russia, China, India, Turkey, UK, USA and other countries came together for IX St. Petersburg International Economic Congress “Promising integration processes in the global economy: noonomy-approach” (SPEС 2024).

The event hosted by the Institute of New Industrial Development n.a. S.Y. Vitte (INIR) under support of the Free Economic Society of Russia was aimed at raising the profile of fostering a constructive dialogue to combat poverty, discrimination and inequality, promoting sustainable development goals and prosperity. Sergey Bodrunov, Director of INIR, President of the Free Economic Society of Russia, Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, led the event as President.

Participants were welcomed by Vladimir Kuznetsov, Director of the UN Information Centre in Moscow (UNIC) and Vladimir Knyaginin, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg.

Volunteers from the SuperActive student association at RANEPA St. Petersburg assisted in preparing and conducting the Congress.

“Our volunteering team helped the participants when addressing all issues in a timely manner. The task was to properly organize the entire process — from preparation to completion of the event. And we did it!”
