
On November 24, within the framework of implementation of agreements reached with the Public Service Academies of Myanmar, following the visit of the official delegation of St. Petersburg to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in October 2023, the first online lecture «Scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Myanmar in the context of the formation of a multipolar world» was held for the top management and executive authorities of Myanmar.
Andrey Khlutkov, Director of RANEPA St. Petersburg and Vyacheslav Kalganov, Vice-chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, Dr. Zaw Min Aung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and Mr. Zaw Zaw, Rector of the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar), welcomed the audience.
Elizaveta Pronyakina, Associate Professor, Department of International Relations at RANEPA St. Petersburg as a lecturer addressed the issues of scientific and technical cooperation between our countries. The event was held in a good working and friendly atmosphere and ended with a fruitful debate about the issues of technical and scientific sovereignty, cyber security and other ones.
The participants noted the high level of the event organization as well as the importance of such meetings for the development of international cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of education and training for public service.
It is planned to continue the series of lectures in economics, management, law, sociology, international politics for Myanmar colleagues.
