The meeting supported by the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg was held within the framework of VII International Nevsky Forum.

On 22 June, Andrey Khlutkov, Director of RANEPA St. Petersburg and Vyacheslav Kalganov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg welcomed the delegation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar – Myint Swe, Director General of the Chairman’s Office and Kyaw Soe, Rector of the Civil Services Academy (Upper Myanmar).

Parties discussed the future cooperation focusing on the issues of public administration, research, innovation, consulting and education.

Andrey Khlutkov in his welcome emphasized that RANEPA St. Petersburg is ready to share the knowledge and experience by providing lectures and advanced training programs particularly in public administration and politics, business administration, e-government as well as to offer Russian as a foreign language program including tailored ones.

“Our university has really gained an extensive experience in the effective training of government officials which can be useful to our partners in improving their country`s public administration system. The name «Myanmar» literally means «fast», «strong» – these are vitally important features in our dynamic life. I am convinced these are the qualities that will help effectively implement new knowledge and achieve the highest results”

Myanmar colleagues agreed that the future and successful development of a country directly depends on the level of educational system and they see Russia as a great sample in this regard.
