On 25 December, a festive “Russian New Year” event was held at RANEPA St. Petersburg Russian Language Courses.
Students from Iran, Syria, China, Libya, Pakistan and teachers as well as traditional magic guests — the Father Frost and his granddaughter — came together for making paper snowflakes, taking part in creative competitions and the “Know St. Petersburg” quiz game in a funny and cozy atmosphere including a tea-party with delicious Russian pies and sweets. All performers of the Russian folk song “Oy, Moroz, Moroz” were awarded lovely gifts.

Not only setting a perfect mood before a Holiday season but also immersing international students in the culture and national traditions of Russia have already become a good custom at RANEPA St. Petersburg.

It was an awesome event with an amazing atmosphere! It was a great chance for international students to be acquainted with the Russian culture and learn how the New Year Eve is celebrated in Russia.
