On January 26, International Customs Day, the Faculty of Security and Customs, RANEPA St. Petersburg, held a closing ceremony for the English-language Module «Customs Management and Foreign Trade». This fall semester was special: Xi’An exchange students for the first time joined their peers from Shanghai.

15 students of Shanghai Customs College (SCC) and 3 students of Xi’an Technological University (XATU) not only mastered hands-on skills and learned intensively, but also were fully engaged in academic and extracurricular activities. Particularly, they participated in the English-language youth section «Smart Customs in Facilitating International Trade» within VI International Scientific and Practical Conference organized by the Faculty.
At the same time, 13 RANEPA St. Petersburg students spent the fall semester in Shanghai, confirming the mutual interest and high demand for academic mobility options between our universities.
At the closing event, the exchange students were warmly addressed by Alexey Petrov, Dean, Major General of the Customs Service, Prof. Dr. Anastasia Getman, Head of the Customs Management Chair, and Dr. Daria Solomenko, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation. The students reverted with sincere gratitude to teachers, shared their vivid impressions of stay in St. Petersburg, and promised to return, definitely.

We are confident that the experience gained by our Chinese exchange students is an unforgettable and a valuable contribution to their professional career path and the partnerships between the Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg, and the leading universities in China will only continue to grow.
