On 23 April, The 18th International Scientific and Practical Conference «State and Business. Modern Issues of Regional Economic Development» was held at the Faculty of Economics and Finance, RANEPA St. Petersburg.

The event, as part of the Moscow Academic Forum, brought together leading experts, government officials, business leaders and researchers to discuss key trends in digital transformation, import substitution, and Russia’s economic security.

At the plenary session, addressing the practical aspects of the transition to domestic software and the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies amid global turbulence was of particular interest to the audience.

On the second day, eight sessions and roundtables took place.  Particularly, the session «The Global Economy in the Era of Transformation» featured papers presented in English by researchers from Serbia, India, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and China, underscoring a high international status of the event.

As usual, young researches joined the event: RANEPA St. Petersburg students and postgraduates presented projects on econometric modeling, applying Generative Artificial Intelligence for normalization corporate data, and the analysis of regional economic imbalances.
