On 15-18 April, the Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg welcomed the delegation of the Northwest University of Political Science and Law (NWUPL), China.

The Faculty of Law organized the round table in the framework of the joined research project “International legal tools for environmental protection”. The Russian and Chinese teams shared the interim research output, discussed issues of transition to an environmentally sustainable lifestyle as well as the legislative initiatives aimed at combating climate change in accordance with international and national law. The event outcome will be published. The parties also decided to hold the next scientific seminar at NWULP in China.

The Chinese colleagues made the presentation of their university with a focus on the academic mobility programs offered to partner universities. Prof. Dr. Wang Zhaoping lectured on “Research on the Legal Framework for China’s Response to Climate Change» for RANEPA St. Petersburg students in Law and students in International Relations and Politics.

«The Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg has been cooperating with the Northwest University of Politics and Law in China since 2022. The Chinese students regularly come for short-term educational programs at the Faculty of Law at RANEPA St. Petersburg. Researchers and teachers at NWUPL participate as speakers in conferences hosted by our university. We also cooperate in joint research projects.»
