Description

Specialty 18-02-08 «Prosthetic Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Equipment» covers the following key modules and courses: general education, including general humanitarian, social and economic module, mathematical and natural-science module, professional module (general professional courses, such as Engineering Graphics; Technical Mechanics; Electronics and Electronic Engineering). Specific professional modules include:

-Identification of possible effects of prosthetic and orthopedic care and use of technical means of rehabilitation;

-Manufacture of technical means of rehabilitation;

-Study of structures of technical means of rehabilitation and equipment for their manufacture.

Aims

The aim of specialty 12.02.08 «Prosthetic Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Equipment» is to develop general and professional competencies, generate and develop personal qualities required by employers in order to ensure provision of patients with technical means of rehabilitation in specialized medical institutions, and facilities for production and maintenance of prosthetic orthopedic and rehabilitation equipment.

Professional activities:

— Identification of possible effects of prosthetic and orthopedic aid;

— Manufacture of standard, complex and atypical prosthetic and orthopedic products;

— Provision of patients with individual technical means of rehabilitation.
